My 1st photo of the year. Forgot that I wanted to do this, and missed the daylight, and wasn't planning on heading out, so I figured I'd be creative and capture my first dinner of the year. I had a chicken nacho.

The experiment...

Background: My goal is to try and take one photo a day for a year, and post these daily with possible summaries or comments to the photos.

Last year, an old classmate did this project, taking one photo a day, and I thought it would be a great and creative attempt at capturing different things. Ideally, I will look at my creations at the end of the year, and hope to notice something. As the viewer, he/she will be able to see a year through the eyes of someone, or something they wanted to capture over the year.

While growing up, I never used to take photos, as I thought that if I want to remember something, I will rely on my memory. I always thought that memories are personal things and didn't need to be shared. However, as I grow older, I feel that I want to share my memories with different people. For that reason, I started taking photos more seriously over the last few years. I only purchased my first camera in my early-mid 20s. I am currently on my 5th camera in about 10 years, the first being a film, and the last 4 being digital. I currently have 2 cameras, a DSLR and a point and shoot. Most photos will probably come from the point and shoot as it is easier to carry around.

Hope you enjoy! =)
