Ottawa classic
On the way back to my car, I saw an Ottawa gem. I had to take a few photos of this Ottawa classic! The Mayfair Theatre was built in 1932 and has been an entertainment icon in Ottawa for many generations. It still shows movies, and has that old authentic theatre feel. The shows are generally older movies, but at a bargain price. The old-school interior which you don't find often is very neat and has a lot of character. If you ever get a chance, check out the theatre it's worth the experience! Here's a few photos from the outside:

The new office..
Here's a look at the new diggs and the view:
Not your typical road sign..
I had noticed this sign a few weeks ago, and thought to myself, geeze this isn't a typical road sign. I don't remember seeing that sign earlier in the year, and then it struck me, it's probably only there when people go skating on Dow's Lake and the canal, and the image represents skating, even though the skates are quite long, almost like short cross country skis or something else. On another note, I'm not sure what the sign is doing next to the road as there is no skating right next to the road. A bit puzzling, but then again, quite unique:

Floral illusion and Cat food?
As I was walking in Ikea, I noticed what I thought was an elephant, but it was a ginseng plant. The plant roots had been cut up and it looked like an elephant, which I thought was worth of capturing in my photo today.
For me there was a bit of irony when I saw the text underneat the plant, and figured it was appropriate that I take a second photo as it was very cute and interesting.
Then I went to Walmart and found another interesting opportunity. This was definitely a photo worthy shot. I could't believe it, to the untrained eye, it could mean a few things, but for me, being a francophone, it's sending some pretty mixed messages. Take a look and let me know what you think:

A long day...
So when I got to Halifax, I rushed into a cab, which I must say costs a lot! Got to DAL and jumped on stage and joined the change management panel. It actually went well :)
I then joined the organizing committee for a nice dinner at "The Story", which I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a nice meal in Halifax. Here's a photo of the group:
And here's a copy of the special menu the restaurant did for us and they even included the conference logo on the menu!

Welcome home
I'm on a road trip this week. I flew home to New Brunswick. As per usual, I usually try to get my seafood intake, and this time my dad surprised me. A short while after I got home, he said "do you feel like having some lobster rolls for dinner" and I was like, YEAH! So he said, come take look at this, and he pulled out a big bag of frozen lobster. He said, let it thaw, and then you can make lobster rolls for us. This is quite the treat!
The image is smaller than normal, trying to upload with no regular internet is not an easy or fast task. I had to re-size the image 3 times to get it uploaded. I'm currently on "Edge" internet speed tethering off my IPhone.
